b.sights has been in biz since 2004 but was kind of a crank in its beginning. Founder Alexander Mertsch had created a record label for his final exams at the Design Factory International in June of the same year - b/sights records. A label specialised in reissues, boxsets and live CDs, and their design, packaging and promotion.
After his successful exams Alexander continued working at the renowned packaging design agency Solutions Branding & Design Companies Inc., located in Hamburg, Germany, just to find out a year later that his passion and future lies in packaging of audio & video media rather than supermarket products.
In May 2005 he finally founded his small agency b.sights and has since worked with such established acts like Nashville bluesman, singer & songwriter Ron LaSalle, the German rock band Stanfour and the holding organization of the Phonographic Industries in Germany, the ifpi. And who knows, who else will cross our way? There might be a boxset in the work in 2007 for 80s rocker Huey Lewis & The News. Fingers crossed!
